Through the use of companion planting, absolutely no pesticides are used on anything grown on the farm. If you are unfamiliar with companion planting – it simply means that plants are like people, we have natural friends that we prefer to be with. By utilizing the natural properties of each plant to help nurture and protect each other, we avoid the need for chemicals of any type and this usually will increase the bounty substantially.
All food grown here starts with USDA certified organic seeds and plants. Everything is hand watered to conserve resources and give plants what they need, when they need it. (No wasteful auto irrigation systems.) Visiting animals are unable to enter, with the exception of a few hummingbirds and other winged friends during the spring and summer which help to keep the flying insect population down.
Graham Cracker Farm is completely organic in nature and design. We’re dedicated to providing wholesome, nutritious, locally grown, fresh food with a firm commitment to remain environmentally safe and sustainable. Educational farm visits are encouraged on weekends with advance notice and availability is seasonal.
